We believe informed clients make better decisions. Learn what each policy covers, who needs it, and why it matters.
The foundation of business protection. If you operate a business in Florida, this is the policy you start with.
Every business that interacts with the public, works on client properties, or has physical premises. In Florida, many commercial leases, contracts, and licenses require proof of general liability before you can operate.
Employee injuries (that's workers' comp), professional mistakes (that's professional liability), auto accidents (that's commercial auto), or damage to your own property (that's commercial property insurance).
Florida law requires most businesses with four or more employees to carry workers' comp. Construction businesses need it with just one employee.
In Florida: businesses with 4+ employees (all industries), construction companies with 1+ employees, and agricultural businesses with 6+ regular employees or 12+ seasonal workers. Even if you're not legally required, carrying workers' comp protects you from lawsuits by injured employees.
Corporate officers and LLC members can exempt themselves from coverage but must file for exemption. Without workers' comp, you're personally liable for employee injuries, and the state can issue stop-work orders and impose penalties of $1,000/day.
Also called Errors & Omissions (E&O). Protects your business when professional advice or services cause a client financial loss.
Consultants, accountants, architects, engineers, IT professionals, real estate agents, financial advisors, insurance agents, and any business that provides professional services or advice. Many client contracts require proof of professional liability coverage before work can begin.
General liability covers physical harm — someone slipping, property getting damaged. Professional liability covers financial harm from your professional services — bad advice, missed deadlines, errors in deliverables. Most businesses that provide services need both.
Covers goods, equipment, and materials in transit or stored off-premises. Despite the name, you don't need a boat to need marine insurance.
Contractors who haul equipment to job sites, businesses that ship goods, construction companies, technology companies with equipment at client locations, and any business with valuable property that moves between locations. In Florida's marine economy, ocean marine coverage is essential for businesses involved in shipping, fishing, or port operations.
Most commercial property policies only cover property at your listed business location. Once equipment or goods leave your premises — on a truck, at a job site, in storage — they're typically not covered. Marine insurance fills that gap.
Protects your home, belongings, and personal liability. In Florida, proper coverage is non-negotiable — especially for hurricane and flood exposure.
Florida homeowners face unique risks. Hurricane deductibles are separate from your regular deductible and are typically 2-5% of your dwelling coverage. Standard policies do not cover flooding — you need a separate flood policy if you're in a flood zone (and even if you're not, it's worth considering). Sinkholes are another Florida-specific risk that may require additional coverage.
Brevard County's coastal exposure means wind coverage is critical. Many national carriers have pulled out of Florida coastal markets, but we work with Florida-specialized carriers who understand the local risk environment and offer competitive rates for Brevard County homeowners.
